Otoplasty

What is it?
A procedure that aims to correct protruding ears, seeking symmetry and proportionality in relation to the face as a whole. The scar is positioned behind the ear, and initially there will be edema (swelling), which will disappear in a few weeks.
It is also common to correct earlobes torn by trauma or the use of heavy earrings.
How to prepare?
Undergo medical examinations and evaluations;
Quit smoking before surgery;
Adjust your current medications; avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and natural medications, as they can increase bleeding.
Postoperative
Bandages or dressings are applied over the site to keep it clean, protect it from trauma, and to support the new position of the ear during initial healing;
Discomfort immediately after surgery is normal and can be controlled with pain medication. This lasts 10 to 15 days, and improvement is gradual.
The procedure reaches its final result in approximately 2 to 4 months.
