Dermabrasion

What is it?
A procedure that helps refine the superficial layers of the skin through a surgical scraping method. The treatment smooths out surface irregularities, giving the skin a smoother appearance. The procedure requires prior anesthesia and can be performed in the office or in a hospital setting.
Indication
It is generally used to treat acne scars, correct raised edges in surgical scars, sun spots and stretch marks.
Post-treatment
After the procedure, it's common for the skin to be red and swollen for a few weeks. It's important to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen when going outdoors to prevent the risk of blemishes.
